GET OUT THE COUNT
Those who have ever followed or been engaged in politics are familiar with the myriad theories and strategies for Get Out The Vote efforts at election time. No matter how good your ads, mail, speeches or yard signs, making sure a candidate’s voters actually vote is a key component of any election.
Now, there appears to be a new wrinkle concocted by those conniving liberals that takes strategic thinking to another level. It’s designed to have an impact beyond the election – into the 2020s – when redistricting creates new legislative and Congressional districts, and possible siphon power away from the Reform Majority now in control of North Carolina’s legislature.
We have all probably heard of the importance of the U.S. Census. In addition to creating the basis for how Congressional seats are apportioned in the 435 U.S. House districts, census data factors heavily into how federal funds – over $675 billion – are spent in each state.
Counting the census all sounds like a clean and noble effort – right?
How, you may ask? Pretty simple – you “count the people who predominately vote Democratic, and don’t count the people who typically vote for the other party.” In North Carolina, the article points out, to tilt the balance you make sure you maximize “the number of people counted in the Democratic strongholds of Charlotte, Fayetteville, Raleigh, and Greensboro, while ignoring rural areas, which typically vote Republican.”
To build the ground game to do it, the Left takes advantage of IRS rules that allow 501(c)(3) non-profit groups to “help” the Census Bureau collect data – as long as it’s not done in a partisan manner.
Which means the alphabet-soup mix of liberal groups feeding at the money trough of billionaire megadonor George Soros are having a field day. Just think – another pastime for non-working liberals to add to their voter registration duties – census counting!
And the liberals have a name for it – according to this article…. GET OUT THE COUNT.
There’s much more in the article you should read and put squarely on your radar screen.
Here’s one thing you can do. Make sure you, your family members and your friends are counted by the U.S. Census Bureau before the current September 30, 2020 deadline.
