Oh Look, They LOVE Vouchers for Millionaires and Billionaires…for E-Bikes!

The same crew that viciously opposes school choice vouchers embraces non-means tested e-bike vouchers

The hypocrisy knows no bounds

You can’t make this stuff up. Just two weeks after Gov. Roy Cooper declared a pretend “state of emergency” over Opportunity Scholarships, the City of Raleigh launched a similar program…to pay for electric bikes.

Cooper premised much of his “state of emergency” on legislators’ plan to offer education funding directly to families – “even a millionaire” – so they can choose which school their children will attend.

But the City of Raleigh is rolling out a plan to give taxpayer money directly to families so they can buy an e-bike – even millionaires!

The hypocrisy is truly astounding. The same people who viciously oppose school vouchers embrace with open arms non-means tested vouchers, so long as they’re for electric bikes and not a kid’s education.

We’ll hold our breath for a “state of emergency” from the Governor over this program that gives vouchers to millionaires to purchase e-bikes.
