Remember a couple weeks ago when we told you about Sen. Harper Peterson’s endorsement of the “Green New Deal?”
Now we’re starting to find out just how much green this “deal” is going to cost.
A study released by the American Action Forum shows how much the top line policy proposals would cost and it’s not pretty:
For those keeping score, on the low end that’s $52.6 trillion over the next 10 years, possibly costing as much as $94.4 trillion. That means at a minimum a cost of more than $360,000 per household in the best case scenario every year.
Does Sen. Peterson still want to stand by this endorsement? Does he want working-class North Carolinians to be on the hook for hundreds of thousands of dollars every year?
