Harper Peterson Wants Poop On Your Lettuce

February 12, 2019

Well, maybe not directly but that’s going to be the effect of his endorsement of the Green New Deal

The Green New Deal is the dream of far left progressives: a radical restructuring of our economy to have no fossil fuels and no greenhouse gas emissions in ten years. Never mind that the largest greenhouse gas is carbon dioxide, the stuff that you breathe out. And let’s not forget, without greenhouse gases the temperature would be zero.

The Green New Deal is spearheaded by Miss Venezuela herself, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. The Congresswoman from New York’s hardline socialist ideas would be right at home in Venezuela where the government-run economy lies in ruins and people are starving.

The Green New Dealers want government in your back pocket at all times: from forcing specific organic fertilizers on farmers to mandates for energy production. Not to mention you’ll be demanded to rebuild your home to meet the desires of socialists and bureaucrats alike. All this along with a promise that all-powerful Washington will guarantee financial support for those “unwilling to work.” A government big enough to give you everything you want is big enough to take everything you have.

Practicality is an afterthought to zealots like Harper Peterson, flaunting schemes to cut greenhouse gas by banning air travel and hamburgers because cows emit gases by farting.

Peterson’s friend Roy Cooper spent last week in Washington preaching about a scheme that increases government overreach in the name of pie in the sky ideas. Nevermind that the U. S. has already cut emissions back to 2005 levels by substituting clean natural gas to replace coal, the one-sided agreement allows China, the world’s number one greenhouse gas producer, to simply pay lip service to stabilize their rapidly accelerating emissions by 2030, sticking the higher prices and job losses on us.

Harper Peterson’s just another cynical politician playing to his left-wing base, relying on a biased media to obscure the radical reality of his agenda that sucker punches everyday people.
