Roy Cooper has named Ken Eudy as his senior adviser. Eudy ran Capstrat, a lobbying, PR and marketing shop. He’s a premiere Democrat operative.
During the Perdue Administration, Eudy’s Capstrat reaped $14.7 million in contracts from UNC, the Ports and the Health and Wellness Trust Fund.
What is going to keep Capstrat from cashing in again now that Eudy is Cooper’s right hand man? Suggestion. The conservative majority needs to require preapproval of government contracts by a Legislative Oversight Committee. Stop cronyism before it begins.
