Nationally prominent and local groups have praised North Carolina’s job-generating tax reform.

“In totality, this package puts North Carolina on a pro-growth trajectory with a low, broad tax structure. The reforms will vault North Carolina from 44th to 17th in the Tax Foundation’s State Business Tax Climate Index.” – Cato Institute

“We thank the Governor and members of the General Assembly for passing a true tax reform package that made vital investments in our job creators in order to stimulate new economic opportunities for all North Carolinians. Other states are not standing still on tax reform, however, and that means North Carolina needs to continue improving its tax climate.” – N. C. Chamber

“Finally, the reduction of the corporate income tax rate to 3 percent, once fully phased in, will give North Carolina the lowest corporate income tax rate of any state that levies the tax. This has the potential to pay large dividends in the future as the state economy expands financial service centers, research and development operations, and corporate headquarters within the state.” – Tax Foundation

Why fold a winning hand? The conservative majority should keep reforming our tax code with steps like increasing the standard deduction now.
