GIVE PARENTS CONTROL OF CLASSROOM DISCIPLINE

While Status Quo, the-system-doesn’t-need-change politicians continue attacking school choice, we learn only 25% of teachers in a Charlotte public high school believe students follow the rules.

The reliably liberal Wake School Board has already embraced PC discipline policies by cutting school suspensions 45%, and now school crime is spiking.

Classroom discipline was relaxed because the school board thinks too many black students are suspended compared to whites. Despite relaxed discipline and rising crime, the Obama Administration still thinks too many are suspended.

Here’s a suggestion: Instead of playing racial politics, let parents – black, white, Hispanic, Asian or otherwise – select the level of classroom discipline they want by empowering them with an opportunity scholarship so they can send their children to a school that works for the child.
